Brenda Lee Cole, of Smyrna, quietly passed away on November 18, 2017 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, after a long battle with cancer. She was 66.

Brenda was born in Chestertown, MD on December 30, 1950 to the late Marion Paul Everett and Viola Ford Everett.

She was a 1968 graduate of Chestertown High School. After graduating, Brenda worked at FKMM Insurance Co. in Chestertown. She then went on to work at Leeds Travelware, and the Clayton Bank, later sold to PNC in Smyrna, where she worked until her health forced her to retire in 2010.

Brenda loved reading, working in her flower gardens, and watching the Baltimore Orioles, but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She was truly a person that others were drawn to. She loved to laugh and she loved life. Brenda was a member of Ewell's-St. Paul UM Church, Clayton.

She is survived by a son, Scott Cole (Kelley); a daughter, Susan Cole (Brandon Diaz); a brother, Paul Everett (Beth); a sister, Sue Turner (Ray); three grandchildren, Carter, Paisley, and Tanner; two special children, Bryce and Caelynn Diaz; and nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Sunday November 26 at Ewell's-St. Paul United Methodist Church, 401 West St., Clayton, DE. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Monday at the church. Burial will be in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown, MD.
