Bobby Boyd "Bob" Mullnack, 84, of Smyrna, DE, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025 with family at his side. He was born August 5, 1941, in Cabool, Missouri, to Jesse Boyd and Ruth Louise (Padgett) Mullnack.
At age 18, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, proudly serving for 20 years, including time in Korea, Okinawa, Thailand, Newfoundland, and across the United States. It was during his posting in Newfoundland that he met the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Fisher, whom he married in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1963. After retiring from the Air Force, he continued his service to his country as a civil servant at Dover Air Force Base for 28 years.
Bob loved animals and shared his life over the years with many family pets. He enjoyed family gatherings, his military memories, and a life of dedication to service and country.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Liz), sons Rodney (Lynette) and Derek (Regina), grandchildren Amanda (Jarrett), Drew (Brooke), Mark (Megan), Shae (Marissa), and Alisa; great-grandchildren Iris, Reed, Kipp, Emily, and Grayson; and sister Shelly Karr (Phillip).
He was predeceased by siblings Shirley Sapaugh, Judy Halbrook, and Betty Shannon.
A visitation will be held 6-7:30 PM Wednesday August 27 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, with services beginning at 7:30 PM. Burial will be 11 AM Thursday August 28 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2765 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to First State Animal Center and SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden Delaware 19934.
