Blanche K. Reed, 91, of Westminster Village, Dover, DE, formerly of Smyrna, passed away on June 7, 2023, at Christiana Hospital, Newark.

She was born in Smyrna, DE on November 8, 1931, to the late Dudley and Hilda Kemp. She was a graduate of Smyrna High School class of 1950 and was employed by banking institutions from 1950 - 1972.

Blanche loved playing the piano, reading, sewing, gardening, and cooking. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist in Smyrna for over 65 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Raelynn Reed of Newark, DE and her lifetime partner Alba Garcia Mendoza.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Reed Jr. (1932- 2002); and her sister Virginia Graham (1921- 2015).

Services will be private.

Thank you to the staff of Westminster Village in Dover for their care of her through many years, and to the ICU Christiana hospital staff and hospice staff who cared for her following her stroke.
