Betty J. Elmore-Bethea, "GEGE", 67, of Dover, Delaware, departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Bay Health Medical Center in Dover, Delaware. Born in Sharples, West Virginia, she was a resident of Dover, Delaware for 10 years and a resident of Egg Harbor Township, NJ for more than 40 years. Mrs. Elmore-Bethea was retired and formally employed at Harrahs Casino & Resort in Atlantic City. She is predeceased by: parents, Flora M. Elmore-Oden and Ernest C. Elmore; grandparents, Eula Moon Adams and Ben Adams; stepfather, Jeff (Mr. Jeff) Oden; brother, Ernest C. Elmore, Jr.; sister, Ruth A. Blackmon; aunts Ruth Slaughter and Barbara Jean Gilliam; and husband, Jerald Bethea. She leaves to cherish fond memories: her precious children, Kieosha D. Vereen "Kroshy" of Galloway, Sylvia Grace-Montague "Lele", and her fiancé, Edmund E. Sudler "Pete" of Dover, Delaware; grandchildren, Jerome Terille Montague II and Brooqulynn Floranay Montague both of Dover, Delaware; son-in-law, Jerome Montague of Dover, Delaware; sisters; brothers; and In-laws, Gwendolyn Golber of North Carolina, Annette Hairston Dixon (Frank) of Kissimmee, FL, Brenda Gibbons (Melvin) of Killeen, Texas, Garland Elmore (Beth) of Elkview, West Virginia, Darrell E. Elmore (Ida) of Gainesville, Florida, Jeffrey A. Elmore (Genet) of Las Vegas, Nevada, William E. Elmore (Rata) of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters-in-law, Bernice Heckstall of Elwood, NJ, and Eunice Davis of Fayettville, NC; aunts, Annette Adams of Mays Landing, NJ, and Eva Hart of Plainfield, NJ. Betty will always be treasured by her numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. A Service will be held on Tuesday, March 17 at 12:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church, 829 Tilton Road Pleasantville, NJ, where friends may call from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Arrangements are by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Smyrna.
