Anna M. "Ann" Riddagh, passed away on Tuesday December 27, 2011 at State Street Assisted Living, Dover. She was 97. She was born in Darby, PA, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Grace Lupo. Ann moved to Smyrna with her husband in 1946. She had owned and operated the Chatterbox Soda Shop in Smyrna, and later worked for Playtex. She also worked as a receptionist for several doctors and lawyers in the area, in addition to owning and operating Towne Cleaners, Smyrna, with her husband for many years. Ann was a charter member of the Smyrna Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Century Club, the Town and Country Homemakers, the Republican Women's Club, and was a member of St. Polycarp Parish and the Sodality. In addition, she was an avid china painter and received several awards for her work. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert W. Riddagh; a brother, Lawrence Lupo; and a sister, Cass Pettinati. She is survived by a son and his wife, Robert L. and Pat Riddagh; and a daughter-in-law, Linda A. Riddagh, all of Smyrna; three grandsons, Philip, Michael, and Jason Riddagh, all of Smyrna; a granddaughter, Stephanie Weaver, of Italy; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday December 31 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 9:00 AM. Entombment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
