Ann M. Snyder, of Hartly, formerly of Smyrna, passed away on January 27, 2013. She was 86. She was born in Laurel, DE the daughter of the late Carles and Rita Mills Messick. Mrs. Snyder was employed by Leeds Travelware, Clayton, for 16 years, retiring in 1981. She was also a longtime member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph H. Snyder, and a son, Ward N. Fortner. She is survived by a son, John H. O'Neal and wife Dale; a daughter, Barbara Ann Graham and husband Alexander; a brother, Nelson Mesick; two sisters, Betty Haley and Gloria Cahall; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held 10:00 AM Monday February 4 at the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
